Making Satin Stitch Flowers

One hat finished! It probably took about an hour. I was listening to my daughters croupy coughing and was checking on her, so it might have taken longer or not. So last night was spent holding her, cuddled up to her, giving her nebulised water and Paralink to help her breathing. God, it sounds so awful and is so worrying.

The hat just needs a little flower on the front which I'll make using scraps. I will satin stitch around 3 or 4 flowers, making each a little smaller than the other. Then I will cut them out and sew them (smallest on top) to the front with embroidery thread the same colour as the centre of the flower. They turn out surprisingly good.
